What is Tapping?
Tapping is also known as Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). It is a process where you use your middle finger and index finger to tap on certain areas of the hand, face, chest, underarm and head to neutralise negative emotions, feelings and beliefs. It is based on the ancient principles of Chinese Acupunture, and no needles are required. It is easy to learn, and can be used straight away by following a script of a video of the process. Basically it is great to use tapping to calm down if you are under pressure at work, have an exchange with your partner that is upsetting, if a child’s behaviour is getting to you, (they can use it too), or if you under pressure for a deadline and your stress levels are through the roof. There are some great teachers in the world today who demonstrate this tapping technique and they cover almost every topic under the sun. It is something that can be learned easily and used immediately and by the entire family.
How does it work?
Basically you start with a set up phrase of what is the issue, belief, concern, problem that you wish to clear. This is focussing on the problem.
There is a Karate chop move that is done on the hand and this is used while you repeat phrases about the “the problem”. Usually three times.
Then you move onto phrases that focus on the solution.
Phrases are spoken out loud whilst you tap the the following points; eyebrow, side of the eye, under the eye, under the nose, chin, collarbone, under the arm and the top of the head.
This process can be used for pain, for phobias, for stress and overwhelm, depression, anxiety, anger…. you name it! Use high quality essential oils with this process and reap the rewards.

Note: As we are often working with fears and/or limiting beliefs when applying EFT, I suggest using essential oils as an added modality. For fear based issues apply some Cypress oil, Lavender oil, Cassia oil to the soles of your feet, and for limiting beliefs use some Oregano, Rosemary, Cilantro.
